Getting There



Qantas flies direct to Queenstown from Brisbane and Sydney. Perth to Queenstown is via Auckland.



Queenstown.


Queenstown is the adrenaline capital of the world. It lies in the south-west of New Zealands South Island and is the base for New Zealands top 4 ski resorts- Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona and Treble Cone. The town of Queenstown is situated beside the picturesque Lake Wakatipu. The magic of Queenstown lies in its adventure activities which include:

  • Skiing and snowboarding
  • Heli-skiing
  • Bungee-jumping
  • Rafting or Jet Boating the famous Shotover River
  • Hiking
  • Horse riding through “Lord of the Rings” countryside

Coronet Peak is only 15 minutes drive from Queenstown. It has just commenced a $20M redevelopment of its base station which will now be counted as one of the worlds best. It has also just commenced a multimillion dollar massive snow-making investment to extend the length of its season. The Remarkables are a 30 minute drive from the town center. Cardona (45 minutes) and Treble Cone (90 minutes) are well known to previous registrants of the Wanaka Conference.

Queenstown is also famous for its restaurants, cafes, golf courses and fishing.

As usual the conference will involve entertaining presentations and workshops given by a variety of specialists who are leaders in their respective fields. Presentations run from 0700-0900 and 1730-1930. There will be many planned social engagements and “theme nights”.
