Zermatt.

The old town of Zermatt in Switzerland lies at the base of the famous 15,000 foot Matterhorn and is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque ski resorts in the world. The town of Zermatt existed for centuries before there was a ski industry and retains all of its old world charm. Fortunately there is now a vast amount of skiiable terrain there as well and you can even ski down into Italy for lunch. There are no cars in Zermatt and it is accessible only by rail or horse drawn carts. Zermatt is sheltered from winds and has the longest snow season of any resort in the alps.There are an enormous amount of lifts (capable of conveying up to 89776 passengers an hour) accessing over 313 km of ski runs.  The central European location means that many of us will be stopping off in Paris for a few days on our way there.

As usual the conference will involve entertaining presentations and workshops given by a variety of specialists who are leaders in their respective fields. Presentations run from 0700-0900 and 1730-1930. There will be many planned social engagements and “theme nights
